About the Eden Wildfowlers Association

The Eden Wildfowlers Association is the wildfowling club serving
the county of Fife in Scotland. It is based on the Eden Estuary near
St Andrews.
The club was successful in having the Eden Estuary declared as a
local nature reserve and wildfowling is now conducted under a permit
system. This traditional sport has become better regulated as a
result of the creation of the reserve. Statistical records of
wildfowling visits are monitored and play a fully integrated part in
the management of the reserve. In addition to their management
responsibilities, wildfowlers are active in voluntary wardening and
environmental improvement activities.

The club has its own clay pigeon shooting ground and clubhouse and
clay shoots are normally held two or three times each year. Gundog
training is actively encouraged and classes are arranged for the
general public as well as club members.
It is the local affiliated club of the British Association for
Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and regularly sends delegates to
BASC conferences and other events.
