Shuck CDC Emerger

Hook Kamasan B405 or similar; sizes 10 - 12
Tail Piece of pearly piping, same length protruding behind hooh bend as length of hook shank.
Rib Fine copper wire
Body Black floss (or claret or fiery brown or olive, etc.) for two-thirds lenth of hook shank. Thorax of bronze peacock herl.
Wing None
Hackle "Breathers" of natural Cul-du-canard extending out front of hook, above eye.
Head Black Varnish
Use Experiment with the amount of CDC and the weight of the pearly shuck to produce a fly that floats with the CDC extending above the surface and the shuck hanging downwards under surface.
